Copyright Compliance for AI-Generated Content
Source Image Requirements
When uploading images to our AI caricature service, you must ensure that:
- You own the copyright to the image, OR
- You have explicit permission from the copyright owner, OR
- The image is in the public domain, OR
- Your use qualifies as fair use under applicable copyright law
Portrait Rights and Consent
For images containing people, you must additionally ensure:
- You have consent from all individuals depicted in the image
- For commercial use, you may need model releases or other legal documentation
- Images of minors require parental consent

Important: Uploading copyrighted material without permission may result in account termination and potential legal liability. You are solely responsible for ensuring your uploads comply with copyright law.
DMCA Takedown Procedure
If you believe that your copyrighted work has been used on our Service without authorization, you may submit a DMCA takedown notice. Your notice must include:

Counter-Notification Process
If you believe that your content was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification containing:
- Your physical or electronic signature
- Identification of the material that was removed and its previous location
- A statement under penalty of perjury that the material was removed by mistake or misidentification
- Your contact information and consent to jurisdiction of Federal District Court
- A statement that you will accept service of process from the original complainant
Repeat Infringer Policy
We maintain a policy of terminating accounts of users who are repeat copyright infringers. Our policy includes:
- Warning users upon first valid DMCA notice
- Temporary suspension for second offense
- Permanent termination for third offense or severe violations
- Immediate termination for willful, commercial-scale infringement
Fair Use Guidelines
While we cannot provide legal advice, we recognize that some uses of copyrighted material may qualify as fair use. Fair use factors include:
- Purpose and character of use (commercial vs. educational, transformative nature)
- Nature of the copyrighted work

AI Training and Copyright
Regarding the use of copyrighted material in AI training:

International Copyright

Response Times and Procedures
DMCA Notices

- Content removal within 2-5 business days if notice is valid
- User notification upon content removal
Counter-Notifications
- Review within 5-7 business days
- Content restoration within 10-14 days if counter-notice is valid
- Original complainant notification as required by law
False Claims
Making false or bad faith copyright claims may result in legal liability under Section 512(f) of the DMCA and other applicable laws. We reserve the right to seek damages and attorney's fees against parties who submit false DMCA notices.
